zold.Parks Development

The City of St. Paul looks forward to being able to provide our citizens with parks and recreation facilities that all can enjoy. There are currently two beautiful areas of land that have been donated to the city for future park development. The funding for these projects come from a dedicated Parks Fund that can only be spent on Parks because of the source of the funds.

Wilke Park:

Wilke Park became the City’s first Municipal Park in June of 2014. Located next to City Hall, this Park offers a quiet setting among a grove of trees and a pavilion to come enjoy a lunch, a picnic or an early morning cup of coffee.

P.J. Peine Park

This area of land is located at the southwest corner of Hoff Road and Summit Estates Drive. The Parks Committee of St. Paul is currently looking into developing this park as a nature area with walking trails with a parking area.

Grading and seeding of the property will be completed as soon as weather permits.

Volunteers will be needed to assist with future plantings along the trail. The Parks Committee invites individuals, Scout groups, school groups and any other interested organization to contact the City Administrator to express your desire to volunteer. Please call City Hall at 636-978-1063. The Parks Committee will advise you when workdays have been scheduled.

Monetary donations to the Parks fund are welcome at anytime.

Grants will be a major source of funding for park development in the City. Do you have experience in writing grants? The Parks Committee invites you to share your expertise and assist us in this area.

The Parks Committee thanks you for your support!
